Well, Shannon has designated this works-for-me-Wednesday as parenting advice week. I'm not sure that this is exactly what she had in mind, but it kinda fits.
Do those automatic toilets drive you nuts? They always flush when your not ready, either when your still sitting on them (ew!), or right after you've put down paper for your kid. And they scare kids to death. I mentioned this to the bathroon custodian at Disney World when we were there a couple of years ago, and she passed on a trick she'd heard from a mom.
Drumroll~~ If you wet a small piece of toilet tissue (think spit), and stick it over the sensor, it won't flush until you remove the paper. It has never failed to work for me!

That is such a great idea!! My 5 year old can't stand automatic pottys. You just saved my family a lot of headaches! Thanks!
Ooooh! That's a good one!

BRILLIANT, BRILLIANT I SAY!! Those things freak my children out and I am always trying to prepare them for the flush. We take many road trips which equals frequent public restroom stops. I am definitely trying this out next time! I thank you and my kids thank you and the other patrons listening to my kids shreeks thank you!!
